For this poll, i only used the final fantasy's for the playstation that i like the most, if you have a different favorite over these, feel free to post it along with a vote if you had to pick one.
Personally for me, final fantasy 7 was my all time favorite, i played it when it first came out and was hooked, mastering my materia, and concuring all weapons, gg indeed, i also enjoyed 8 and 9, they were fun, tactics was pretty nice to, i would vote that 2nd.

I kept all my old systems (R.I.P 64/saturn/dream cast due to water damage) that way I'll never have to worry about backward compatibility.

Universal connection for about $5-10.
I've got like a dozen of them from modded systems that burned out.

FF9 for sure myself. Great story, easy to get into.. Although the very last boss didn't make much sense to me.
However, they never really do in the FF games.
