2008 Election Map

This is an idea I had for a map about the 2008 election.. It would basically be a map of the US with red and blue states. I was thinking sort of like a diplo game, but it should have a faster, arcade-y style. Where you run around with party activists (zealots) and kill voters (civilians) to get more money and try to kill the other side.

McCain could start as an Infested Marine, and Palin would be Kerrigan, until the Zerg (GOP) arrive in Alaska and infest her LOL.

Obama and the Democrats can be Protoss because there are no black Terrans (!).. except the SCV driver (wtf?).

There could be two players or three each for the major parties. Third party candidates like Nader, McKinney, etc. would make it more interesting.

I was wondering if anyone had similar ideas or was planning on doing this. I might make it although I don't have much time and I don't think I can make it decent before the actual election. If anyone has made a U.S. map or some scripts that might fit, that they wouldn't mind me using (with you being properly credited of course!), permission to use those might help me make it in time to be playable before the election.

actually, this would have worked better as a semi-RP map like the star wars maps where players influence an ongoing, more or less automated battle between two sides.. but its too late now i think sad
