How to not get keylogged from files you do not trust 100%:
Open .exe source file in any debugger -- ollydbg is free and very good one
Next, search for any SMTP/POP or http connections -- if they exist it's probably keylogged
Finally, if you chose to run it anyways, run it sandboxed
