I have to disagree with you there pure. Bush stole his election from gore by cheating. He also commited war crimes in Iraq. He was not worthy of being our president.

Hence why i mentioned even bad publicity is better than none. It means he is doing something as our president. As for the stolen election, i personally get annoyed when people use it as a reason. It was the way our voting system was set up, he was grandfathered in with it. You cant change the logistics during an election. If congress wanted to change it after they could, but the grandfather clause would not allow it. Theoretically it would be like a loop hole in the constitution, someone gets away with something. The supreme court cant just change the constitution to catch the person. They are grandfathered into that loophole when the action was committed. After the supreme court could decide to amend the constitution to cover the loophole that was abused.

i like your point about the publicity. while i disagree with your choice of presidents, i understand your reasoning. something i would like to mention is the fact that the republican party stonewalled obama for the majority of his presidency. at one point they stonewalled so far that they almost hurt the country (the debt ceiling raise). granted i don't agree with EVERYTHING obama did i agree with more of it than bush. but i digress.

Ya, i was more using Bush as an example for extremes. I think he did many many idiotic maneuvers during his presidency. I technically am signed up as republican but i am much more an independent. The only reason i chose republican was so i could vote in the major primaries and what not that independents arent included in. I just dont want a president that wastes their term. Seriously i havent heard any new publicity on Obama in about a year+ if not two. Its all either same old things that were brought up in his first year or none at all.
One thing i do sympathize for Bush on is that not many presidents have terrorist attacks on homeland during their presidency. There wasnt any rule book or president he could go by, so he took a ton of flak for that and his stupid decisions received all the publicity while the good ones none. (and yes he did do some things right)

well the supreme court should not be involved with the presidential elections in the first place. Also they ruled for the first time saying that that case was special and they wouldn't use the case for any other rulings? what kind of ruling is that

I think you misunderstood what i said. I never connect the supreme court with how the election happened. I gave you a theoretical case using the supreme court and the constitution as an analogy. I also believe you need to understand what and how the grandfather clause works.

as far as the attack during his presidency... there was sweeping incompetance(sp?) across the board on that one. i just dislike quite a few of his policies. specifically no child left behind. but again i digress. this is supposed to be a discussion on the current candidates. I have a feeling obama is doing a lot of small stuff that the media doesnt really care about. i feel as though in the eyes of history, he will be deemed a good president. but he will be demonized until we are out of the recession. on top of that i am not willing to disclose who my choice for the presidential campaign is.. i will tell you who i am not voting for.... rick santorum. he may be from my state, but i do not accept him nor do i claim him lol.

Yep, right there with you. Absolutely hate no child left behind!!! Yes, i understand there are kids who struggle academically, but why the fuck does the academically gifted have to pay for it. I mean wtf, why limit the potential of people just to try to raise some of the lower. Ridiculous...

And i do agree that Obama is probably doing small behind the scene stuff, but i believe the public should be able to know about it. How can we form an opinion on something we dont know. I feel as a democracy (well in reality a republic) i have the right to opinions on what is happening in the government. Without that there would be no....whats the word im looking for.....

Well i've been taking american politics class and my ignorance level has gone down quite a bit. Before the classes, i always thought americans were all equal and it's a free country and we are basically #1. Now I see how corrupt the U.S. is for people who aren't white.
but yeah lol

OMG.... you need to quit paying for those classes. they are selling you a 10 year old education that quite frankly doesn't apply anymore. You can get a MUCH better understanding of what's going on in OUR WORLD with the internet. Get the scoop on, everything, UNFILTERED news, not shit FOX thinks you should or shouldn't know. (who the fuck are they to censor reality) or what curriculum that is mandatory for your class. BEcause the worst part is... when your class is over you're going to come out saying word for word the same shit other people say after taking that class. you're no different, you didnt actually /i/ LEARN /i/ anything..

disgusting...

did any of you even watch ANYTHING he did after getting into office...?
listen to ANYTHING he said? hey fucking zeus, he turned the State of the Union address into a fucking campaign stop.

I literally felt my brain "short circuit" twice while going through this thread.

Ya true most top class citizens have offshore accounts but you don't hear Obama's offshore accounts. Mitt Romney isn't even president yet and you hear him with offshore accounts to evade tax. Who would want a president like that

jesus take me now. I live in a fucking world where people base someones ability to lead a body representative of the country on how many or if they own a off shore bank account.

and the fucking bankers are so corrupt you DONT want to have your money in them. ALL my money that i save is spent on precious metals bullion.

you guys have no idea whats about to happen... but i guess it's all according to plan.

Just recently on the news some white guy killed a 17 year old black kid because "he thought the black kid was harmful"
the black kid didnt even have any weapons, just a regular 17 year old. What happens to the white guy? he is right now released and free....It is a proven fact that white men get less punishments then other races. also considering judges consist of mostly white men even though they arent the majority

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN YOU FUCKING DOUCHE he was latino. not white.
zimmerman was charged with second degree murder he did not walk.

mother fucker, someone gets shot and dies *yes a tragic incident* but suddenly (because of the media) everyone wants to throw the shooter in jail before a detective can read him his damn rights.

and now, (the man reason for the over blown out of proportion case) is because they have reason to destroy our second amendment. they've been attacking it for years and all they do is blow shit up like this, then use it as power for their arguement to get you to submissively give away your rights as a fucking human.

i live in Detroit, every night, let me rephrase, EVERY MOTHER FUCKING NIGHT someone is shot and killed for next to nothing. For standing on the corner while someone with a gun in their lap happened to drive buy, for wearing the newest Jordans or just because the guy with the gun doesnt know you on a personal level. that shit dont explode over the media. it's hardly even covered in the local news.
