Ironic since there's more of them?
Disclaimer: These are the records I've discovered in any given month. Which would then explain why they didn't come out in September 2011. Basically, it is records I've come to love, that I have bought in this month. Thanks.
Fang Island - Fang Island
This record is amazing from start to end. Almost no lyrics, lots of guitar solos, songs aren't too long and the compositions always pick up your mood. Actually, the last thing is what really does it for you, interesting progressive compositions that lightens your day and makes you dance while you're smiling. To hell with press released statements regarding Fang Island, this band is everything you wanted, without knowing you actually wanted it. Oh, and in this live clip, one of these dudes are wearing the most awesome hoodie ever worn.
Oh, and did I mention three guitarists? These guys, they don't give a rats ass about what you think, they're just there to have fun. Second clip is from their insane music video for the track Daisy - which features probably the best intro ever. Goddamnit, Patrick Swayze. God damn you.
Belle Brigade - Belle Brigade
Jump? Yep, but who gives a fuck. None of you guys ever read my long posts anyway. This is two siblings playing what I like to describe as: A popped up version of Fleet Foxed with a country rock edge attached to it. This means they're, like Fleet Foxes, doing a bunch of amazing harmonies on top of simple-ish compositions. When this record stops, I'm starting it again. Just so I can love their harmonies, the way they build up their songs, their frail way of singing and the entire composition of the record. However simple this may be, they hit it perfect. I don't know what the baseball analogy would be, since I don't play that sport, but they've really hit it good them two, brother and sister, can be proud of their debut record. It's pretty damn good.
Here's the video to their single "Losers", which is a pretty good example of how awesome this record is.
Both of these records are available on iTunes. Up next: How I was, at first, disappointed with Portugal. The Man's newest album, but then, after a few listens, got really into it. I love Portugal. The Man. Censored Colors is probably my favourite album of 2008.

I'll just add one more amazing video. There's a few notes she doesn't quite hit, but who gives a shit when the whole ensemble really sticks together and is awesome! The entire record is pretty awesome too, btw.
