half my stash items r gone. my witch doctors is completely naked at lvl 17. thank god they didn't get gear off my barb somehow who is lvl 60. i still lost all his good gear which was in my stash, i was wearing mf gear to farm.
i don't know wtf happened, but watch yourselves out there. some people are at it again.
btw some asshole named "bbbbbbbb" was on my friends list this morning. his account name was "jklkhlksdf".

Sorry for your loss, but i still don't understand how it's possible to hack people from joining a game.
Unless it comes from the server itself or a keylogger hidden on your pc they can't interact with yours personnal infos / login infos, unless you accept some links or install any .exe.

i didn't install, share, sell, didn't even use the auction house. I play with IRL friends, all of which were never given any account information.
I played and lost accounts on D2 too many times to fall for this crap again. and it happened without any personal information of mine.
It just happened.

I stick away from public games and keep my battletag hidden unless doing a trade. Still a lot of people reporting getting hacked.

Never lost a d2 account for over 7 or 8 years played (at the beggining i was not up to date with antivirus, protection etc ...), did join lot of public games, and lots of trades on d2jsp.
Nothing me happened to me hopefully.
Maybe your protection pc is too weak ?

i know how you feel one of my friends on here got hacked yesterday i believe and the same thing happened but diffrence is they took 100% of his stuff so be happy u have what u have and change ur pw incase he takes me and just ask blizz for help and see what IP adresses logged on and track him and ban him for good and ask to change your email to a new one incase urs is messed up...... idk if any of this will work but i hope it does and sorry for your lose
