Hey there . I am glad to be back to d3jsp and i will just show you few ways to check the guy with who you are going to trade .
Rule #1 - Do not trade with Locked/Scammer members !
Rule #2 - Visit google.com and write the BATTLETAG of the guy with who you are dealing (make sure they are none previous scams listed in google)
Rule #3 - Always use mediator and i mean ALWAYS . Yes , the waiting time isnt the best, but I believe that's it better to waste few minutes , maybe even hours than loosing full set of gear or even single items or gold .
Rule #4 - Lets talk about paypal . People are saying that trading with VERIFIED paypal accounts is better , but in my oppinion its not . Receiving money from unverified paypal account is much safer , because the chargeback function is forbidden . Gift payments are the best for this , because there is no fee . Some people preffer to deal only with VERIFIED , but everybody has oppinion .
Rule #5 - By the time of the trading , get everything recorded on video . They are many programs that you may use , i will add some free soon here in my post. Providing a video is realy helpful for the moderators , even for the paypal team.
Rule #6 - Some people are impersonating as Moderators/Trusted users . To avoid that , make sure that the group is stated in the "Group" field .
Rule #7 - If you are doing the deal in the LiveChat , make sure first to receive a PM from the Mediator who is helping you .
Rule #8 - Make sure to trade in small packs , instead of one trade . For example if you are selling 100m Diablo 3 gold , make in on 10packs with 10m gold . Some people are offering money , without having them . This rule only persists if you are not dealing with MEDIATOR , which you SHOULD NOT DO !
Rule #9 - Some people offer suspicious deals for your money/gear . Lets say that you have 10m gold and it's price at the moment is 10$ , if someone offers you 50$ for it , it's most likely a SCAM . BEWARE from that .
Rule #10 - When you are dealing with somebody , first check atleast the last 3 pages in the Scammer Accussations forum for him . They are members who are in review or scammed recently and moderators need some time to investigate their cases .
Rule #11 - Most of the new users are here to scam you , beware of that .It's like this everywhere . Scammers are unstoppable and creative. Always check the user's reputation , but not just how much he has , but the users who gave you'r guy reputation . They are many scammers who have multi accounts and give out themselves possitive reputations from their multis .
Rule #12 - Always check te WARN log on the person with who you are dealing . Some users got warned/locked in the past , so even if they repaid their scams , you should pay more attention on them . Anyway , use MEDIATOR for 100% safety.
Rule #13 - Be suspicios with everybody with you are dealing . Post counts , join date, Reputations means nothing . They are even Verified members who are scammers somehow . ALWAYS use Mediator . That's the only way of getting safety .
I hope my brief guide is helpful . Glad i could help somehow . Take care guys and make sure your money and intelectual property is safe .
