Since this is where everyone comes I'm looking for some help

Sup guys,

Ok here's my issue and I'm looking for a little help to try to resolve it.

I have my computer which has my movies on it. I created a Homegroup and connected my PS3 (the original) to it so I can play my movies I have on my harddrive.

It works for about 10-15 minutes then stops. Whenever I look at my computer it's saying there's no internet connection. I can't access internet or anything. It says there are no Wireless connections available too.

The computer is on a wireless connection and the PS3 is hardlined into my router. It's a NetGear WGN2000 or something like that. The $60 one from walmart.

I've already tried putting new firmware on the router. It didn't work.

Now I was at my moms with their PS3 Slim and the same type of router (it's my moms) and same computer. It worked fine. No disconnections at all.

Do you think it could be the type of PS3? the Slim works fine but the older one doesn't?

Or maybe my mom's router has a certain setting for it.

I'm stumped to be honest and I've been in networking for about 3-4 years now and have no clue what the fuck to look up. lol

How much free space do you have on your ps3 my friend had a similar problem because there was not much memory left at all
