its as you said..we direct this attention of suspicious behavior to the mods and HOPE that it can get their attention. still, though it is a good idea, its flawed in one big way. There is no way to prove a multi made a fake rep. Im sure the mods can look at different ip's and put together assumptions but you cant say with proof that a certain multi gave a false rep or is receiving false reps, even if common sense says otherwise. Now of course, if the multi pm's random ppl and it can be shown that no actual trade was made, perhaps something can be done.

But ultimately there are many things that can spark red flags in this area and serve to raise even more suspicioun.

1. The number of posts the multi had when he started receiving or sending reps (did he just make an account to the site and somehow magically has 3 reps? or on the other end of the spectrum, at 50 posts did he start issuing excess reps to other ppl?)

2. background of the person. Are these ppl scrupulous, their actions methodical and intentions nefarious? this could be the onset of a scammer, so look out. Scammers want to build fast rep so they can attack then move onto their next mark. If you are vigalent, its easy to spot this kind of activity.

3. Reps vs trades? when the rep was made was it referenced to a thread, or did the multi even post in that thread? was there any communication between both parties? this is something that only a person with access to pm's could find out, but its still helpful.

4. Massive spam posts. If a multi just wants to get to 50 posts so they can rep, most of his posts will be spam, or random stuff like here in general chat. they will also usually be very quick about it, so if you notice 50 posts were obtained within an hours time frame, that shows very suspicious behavior.

5. Reps issued to a particular person all from what are believed to be multi accounts. Some people have their friends help them scam, and in doing so will use those friends to get vouches /reps. So check all the people involved. Checking ip's and pm's of all these ppl will be up to the staff but its your duty to report it to them. Makes things alot easier smile

All in all, just watch out for shady behavior. Its good to lock a person after they have scammed, but its even better to "prevent" a scam. Keep alert and you might be able to do so
