They have 2 purposes only.
1) Sorceress on Ladder (no NL sexy boots)
2) Against poison necros.
Use them for any other reason and you can consider yourself a newbie. |

I think that treks are the most used in the game new kids think they are teh #1 boots ever and will do anything for them.

And for ladder, everyone uses treks.
Which is why I said. FOR LADDER, sorcs have the only use for them. |

make my chars look nice (glitching them)
even on hdins, i prefer teerhaunches over them,

Congrats. 
Only reason they have a use on sorceress is because of poison res (because of ES), strength, fhr.
Every other character gets strength from enigma. Therefore you'd use fhr/resist boots instead. Hammerdins don't need fhr because they charge, so you'd use waterwalks for life/dex/maxres. Melee would use war travs or gores. Sins would use shadow dancers.
Treks are ultimately useless.
Also, anyone using Archon Plate enigma is also a failure, except maybe a barb. |

I use gp nigma on my chars usually becuase its amazing haha, it looks good on a lot of chars.
