The theres only 3 builds I have a low success rate vs with smiter. v/t. kitchen matches, and bowa/LF zons. Hdins = ez. All sorcs = ez. Fc = raped to shit. foh = ez.

and i'm actually kinda surprised you don't beat bowas. smite v bow is generally considered pretty trivial. and a decked out es/blizz sorc will stomp you unless you stack massively.
what you say is only true up to a certain threshold of skill (which is pretty easy to attain) and down to a certain threshold of gear (which is actually rather hard to attain from scratch). any higher skill and any lower gear and builds/gear will generally be decisive.

If the hdin doesn't synche, his chances of winning go right out the window. And I'm learning how to even beat synching hdins with smiter.
But unless you have 210% perfect gear, skill is going to make a huge difference the large portion of the time. And btw skill in pvp on d2 is just like SC: knowing the right counters. If you don't know how to counter a specific build, your odds go down a great deal.
Btw, I rape bows the larger portion of the time, I was talking about a very very rare non-cookie cutter bowa build that I've only encountered 2x ever.
As for the need for godly gear, skill will only take you so far in kitchen matches, because the larger portion of the time for smite kitchen matches, it all boils down to hp/grief/smite dmg/dr. Which is why I don't win many kitchen matches because skill isn't a big factor in those. My smiters gear is pretty terrible. I hit 4100 hp, 2600 smite, max dr, mb, and have a 355 greif. Most smiters have more or the same hp, more or the same smite, similar dr, and a helluva lot better grief, which is why I don't win those as much, but they don't win by a ton.
As for your hdin, if your highly skilled with him, that's a foregone conclusion. If your not I'll slam you. My buddy has one of the godlier hdins on east, I've only ever beat him 1 time. But he's good cause skill/gear.
