Ok, I've done the port forwarding and still can't host. This is for Versizon Fios on an Actiontec router. Anybody have any advice?

I told my firewall to allow connections from SC and also tried turning it off. Still didn't work.

Well hopefully both of us can get to hosting soon. I'm tired of nobody hosting anything good.

Post exactly what your did to your router, including which ports you opened... sometimes routers also need to be restarted to reapply the connections.

1) Add port forwarding rule
2) Specified address as my PC
3) Selected protocol Blizzard Battle.net (This is a preset on the router)
[TCP Any -> 4000
Any -> 6112-6119
Any -> 116
Any -> 118
UDP Any -> 6112-6119]
4) Forwarded to port - Same as incoming port
5) WAN Connection Type - All Broadband Devices
6) When should this rule occur? - Always
7) Apply

That seems correct, but slight confusing, lookes like your copid and pasted that but w.e
When you have your firewalls off, make sure your anti-(spam/spyware/virus) is off also, that can affect it too. Other than that, I don't know.

Oh and make sure your Gateway mask is the same as your forwards.

Only part that was really copy and pasted was the specifics on the preset protocol. After that it was mainly misc. information, so that's nearly copied.

I've got two things that I can find after doing command prompt and ipconfig/all.

Default Gateway and Subnet Mask. The default gateway differs by the very last number in the IP address.

the gateway IP should be the same as your recieving port... so if your gateways last #'s were 1212, the port should be something like TCP/UDP 6112 -> TCP/UDP 1212.

ip config isnt as detailed... i would use netstat \all

Ok, I finally got it fixed through enough fooling around. I did it before getting your response and was just too happy playing to post. I don't think it was to do with the gateway, but I'm honestly not sure what the final problem was either.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Hah, personally I forgot to wait for one of my friends to finish saving his code on a WC3 map. In my defense, he took too long.

On WC3 there are maps with save codes. Because I hadn't hosted in a long time, I forgot to make sure everyone had written theirs down or anything of the sort before I left to remake. My friend lost his code because of that. (Just one game didn't mean much luckily.) It's just my story of stupidity after having not been able to host for a couple years.
