I used to overclock it, but when I added my new hard drives my card would hit 90 degrees just running Windows, and no I do not want to fry my video card because when I get a new one I keep it as a spare. I am currently waiting for prices to come down on the 8800GT or 8800GTS (512MB version) because right now they are at about $250-$350 here. _____________________

srsly, i had a 5700 fx oc'd @ 35% core|ram/2.3v agp (overvolt mod on card and mobo) on an athon xp 2700+ @ 22%oc cpu|ram i still have the everest output files/cpuz registers, sandra scores on the drive from the system wich is lyin around here somewhere, mofo was a BEAST back in the day. the damn thing ran doom 3 in 1280x1024 @ ultra quality mode with average of 50-55fps in intense battle. IT OUTPERFORMED MY ATHLON x64 3200+ LMFAO.
but before i did the cooling mods, the card could of melted titaniam if you set it on it, got that pci fan in link above, slapped it in pci-0 to molest the gpu card, removed the stock fan/heatsink from the 5700 and installed an oversized cheap ass aluminum passive heatsink from an old dead TNT2 i had in the scrapbox.
slid some of these on the backside facing the cpu fans airflow output:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/178899-29-7800gs-chip
(didnt use those brand specificaly, but they were the same thing; ram/mofset heatsinks)
and she never went above 28-32 celcius range while on load...
god i miss that pc.....but alas she fried.......and i know ur thinkin cause of the voltmods, insane lvl o/c, intense power lvl/strain etc....but no....my friends kid threw a glass of milk behind it. hit the surge protector strip, and ZAP....there went everything on that circuit breaker lmao.....Milk....does NOT do a pc's body good.
moral of this long rant of geek porn :
get a pci fan. _____________________

I would need one with and external access, because I have filled up all my PCI slots leaving one PCI-e slot right under it. Besides that in it's self would not fix the problem because my hard drives blow across the case to the video card. So I would need one with an external intake. It is better not to overclock my GPU because with my video card running at stock it runs at 71 degrees celcius (because I am in Canada) _____________________

you could probably use a duel core and it would be enough... what you really need is a good graphics card _____________________
