Ok,

I'm new to the Vmware stuff and I've got my machine up but wanted to know if anyone here knew if i need to put a firewall on the Virtual machine running under Vmware if my host PC already has a firewall?

I was hopeing to find someone that at least knew what vmware was

the vmware uses nat to translate my machines private address so i can have multiples up at once
but to the outside it shows the same as this machines

Well I have heard of it but never took the time to understand it.
I highly doubt you need a fire wall for it then.

I believe that you can turn off the windows firewall on vmware because it just showes up as another internet connection, right?

I use zonealarm for a firewall and the inside version has windows I was just thinking it also possibly could be used as a exploit since the vmware system has full access to the internet
