Final fantasy XIII

I was wondering if anyone had a chance to play through final fantasy xiii. How does it match up to the older final fantasies like 6 and 7(my favorite). More interested in the game play/battle system then I am with the story. Thanks

One of my friends nearly beat it, but he got stuck on the last boss because he messed up his stats and so on.

From what I heard it is a great game, you should definitely give it a try

Worth playing just not owning imho. Battle system is different but the game plays as more of a bland adventure game then an rpg.

it's not a real ff game. no in depth gripping plot, no surplus of free time where you can do a million different side quests, etc. worth a play, DEF not worth buying and doesn't even compare to FF 6,7,8
