Don't go there, because it isn't true anymore.

this is slightly spam but, braindead.. check this out if your mac has a webcam

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/ipod_itunes/fluidtunes.html

as for the debate, they are both good computers/os. both create an enjoyable atmosphere. ones more widely used than the other, and therefore more widely compatible... anyone that creates a compiler that compiles EXE or other windows code into mac code would be rich beyond your wildest dreams...

Well, in fact both wine, cider and cxz/cxs can visualise Windows API (win32 API (win64 is being working, but I have not seen any stable release yet (most of the win64 apps today have a win32 verision too anyway))), so to speak, they do not actually compile. A native port is still smoother, at the moment.

my understanding of compilers may be incorrect but, isnt it simply a compiler takes a programming language and takes the keywords and how its assembled, and change the keywords and languages pieces into a usable program... it may be difficult but hardware is hardware, and therefore couldnt something be created to convert windows code into binary? or windows code into mac capable code.

I know cider and things like that are used occassionally but from what i understand isnt it great for video games and such? ive never heard of cider being used for something like..... 3ds max. i think i am rambling at this point, anyways we need a universal binary converter tongue

Well I used to have a Windows Messenger in a wineskin and I have project 64 in cxz. Technically neither is a game lol.

Well the problem isn't that you cannot compile and run c, c++ or basic on OS X, it is since intel fully suported. Most games depends on DirecX (which is a collection of API's, for handeling multimedia tasks (3d/2d rendering, sound, etc). So to speak, most normal application doesn't make such extensive use of DirectX compared to games, ergo most normal applications is easier to port nativly. The only ones that can do anything about this is Apple Inc themselves and I hardly think they are going to impliment Windows Application Programming Interface on their computers.

There's a conparasion between DirectX and OS X counterpart OpenGL (in fact OpenGL is strictly a graphic API, so it would be Direct3D and DirectDraw): Here.

well honestly wouldnt all you really need be a mac version of directX ? if directx is used by all of these things then there have to be people that know the ins and outs of it.. couldnt they then create a mac version that would run the same functions when called from a program.. like a mirror directx.... honestly i know nothing about directx so i am definitly not up to the task lmao.. but it would be cool if someone could.... *cough* schoolhacker *cough* (i realize you dont like mac but you could do this and sell it and make some big $$$$$$$$)
