it might be because lots of classes in lots of schools ban anything higher than the ti-86, because they basically do your work for you, and also, the Ti-84 has a faster ram, faster upload/download rate (direct usb cable instead of converting into a usb cable), has more memory, can do more things, has an entire lower case set, it has the complete periodic table of elements on it, a calendar, and it is also compatible with the ti-83 (or at least the 84 Silver edition is).
Along with a clock.
the 84 is alot better for about $40 more at most.

ya... i think the soft buttons on a ti-83 are better then the blockish buttons of the ti-84...

those i like ti-84 then ti-83... cause it has too lil ram space...

although i find that the ti-83 silver edition have wayyyyy too much ram lol...
same goes for the ti-84 silver edition... although i donno how much ram it has those...

nah ti89 ftw, I like it.

The TI-89 Titanium Language Localizers v3.10 are available in ten languages, and are optimized to work with OS 3.10.
It's more resourceful and has more applications then you can imagine, if you acquire the applications then its well worth the xtra few dollars spent on it.
It's always there for when you need it and you don't need to find a supplement.
