| if two perfect artificial intelligences played versus eachother, do you think that results would be random or that a player in a certain position on the map could always win because of a significant positional advantage related to cliffs , minerals, etc |

If they were both perfect and the same race on the same balanced map, the battle would never end. Both computers would kill each other's units and economy at the exact same time, so theres no way for one to gain any noticable advantage above the other. The only thing that I can think of that's random in starcraft is that 1% chance of each unit missing, which would hardly make a difference.
Also, if it was TvT or PvP, it's unlikely that either team would attack, since they would undoubtably keep the high ground advantage. And since AI scripts never get bored... They would just sit at 200/200 and mine out the entire map.

If they killed each other's units and economy at the same time then the result would be a draw. But have you ever attacked one scv versus another, there is always one that attacks first for some reason. So there is something weird in the programming that gives one the advantage. 1% of each unit missing? I think that 1% you estimated is far too high? and even if you believe it hardly makes a difference, dude it would answer my question, because then one of the AI's would win because of the programming of Starcraft. High ground advantage is also gone with air units by the way, image dropships with air support dropping many templar and storming all the workers, there is no way to stop it no matter how many defensive structures you get. As for my spamming it's not spam at all, first of all I need the gold for me to be able to download maps. Maybe I should ask the guy that runs this place to just give me unlimited gold or something
