im not a computer person, but the coolest is the windows key + the arrows so you can like maximize/minimize/left/right align the pages.

That is so efficient!

Ofc they did, Mac has the better OS IMO, but Windows has more compatibility with games and programs.

If it were up to me I'd just stick with my classic Ubuntu (Linux for those that don't know).

I've been an XP user most of my life, and when the Windows 7 RC ended I promptly switched back to it tongue. It sure is a huge change though, I hate the "Run as an Administrator" bullshit, UAC is complete trash.

Same here, i learned on a 98 plus military edition computer and bought my first xp the year it came out. started learning it decently, and then vista came out, i refused to get vista because i hated alot of things about it. then i got my mac and now i keep my windows computers for code running. like i build my programs and stuff using virtualbox with a "black edition" of windows. then i just move it over to my desktop or one of the laptops for execution. ahh good times back whenever i would have a gw bot running on one comp, 2 diablo bots on another, my music download program (iz sad, i looked over all my computers, and i cant find it, o well have to rebuild sometime lol) and be able to play on myspace and surf on another. apartment complexes work GREAT for that because so many people have routers. i mean there was only 3 at my old place but that was a couple years ago. now they are everywhere.

see, im iffy on linux, because ive always downloaded the code version. like no images, its purely for my LAMP server and simple little things i mess with.

idk I miss some things about windows but at the same time, i like my mac. mainly the touchpad abilities and all the little things like dashboard and expose and the search thingy is pretty nice. mainly the touchpad though. if windows stole that idea. they would be in business lol

You see thats what I want to do as well once I have money. Have like 18 systems all doing something different rofl. Preferably each with a different OS for best test results for my programs tongue

I've fooled around with a bunch of Linux builds and can say Ubuntu is easily my favourite, its marvelous.

all i did was offered to take away peoples broken laptops. i got some that were hardware and i just tore them apart and gave the piece to a friend. but any that were software related i would just fix them and boom. free computer lmao. and amigo has a big collection of hardware now if any of our friends comps die we got spares!

and ya, i run:

Ubuntu 8.04.4 LTS ubuntu.jeos

but like i said its just a virtual test server for databases and web stuff

Lol thats sweet. I usually offer people like $20 for their old "broken" computers that they don't know how to fix or don't want to spend the money to fix and fix it up myself. I've got a few shit ones sittin around that I usually sell to friends when they need a computer tongue

Sadly I live in a hick town where most people are still using P3 - P4 or old school celerons ><

I've had a couple computers with SDRAM and RDRAM, that shits old.

I had a couple people sell me computers with no more then 128MB of ram total (in 2 sticks ><) so if that gives you an idea of how shit this town is xD

god damn mi amigo, that sucks. lol. i live in a college town so there are broken laptops and desktops out the wazoo, if i ever get low on cash or need something i normally just post on facebook that im offering my services and ill get phone calls out the ass lmao. maybe give it a try. might work for ya.

also another good place to harvest crap computers for code testing or even for botting is old high school computers. start a friendship with your schools techie and instead of all the old computers going in the dumpster you can get alot of them. i have like 10 macbooks from like 2000 in my closet atm. i actually had to throw some of the desktops away... well thats a lie, i gutted 5 of them and put in 65W flourescant bulbs with a spectrum of 3100. 2 of them per tower and you can grow 5 micro buds lol

idk I miss some things about windows but at the same time, i like my mac. mainly the touchpad abilities and all the little things like dashboard and expose and the search thingy is pretty nice. mainly the touchpad though. if windows stole that idea. they would be in business lol

Sadly I live in a hick town where most people are still using P3 - P4 or old school celerons ><

ouch and i thought i lived in a hick town. i mean i do but we have a college in the actual town so that kinda helps make the place interesting. i dont know what i would do if i didnt live in a college town XD.

nah i have no problems with windows 7, it seems pretty decent (i dont have it but i know people that do) but damn did they steal alot of things from mac osx lol.
