ive noticed ALOT of users getting scammed because users have M++ they think they are part of staff.
i think the name should change, or make it staff... like S/A helpers or something.

I think that if people are trying to buy sell things legit they should check out a website/person before they just hand stuff over. its not the tag thats the issue its lazy people not checking things out.

I'm sure they aren't "lazy" they just assume it's the same here as it is on d2jsp

There is no member++ on d2jsp, even if there was this is a completely diff place. Why would you just "assume" anyways. on d2jsp all trades are virtual vs virtual. When I start talking about cash I try to look into things atleast a little before handing anything out . You will find this out if you use ebay/sell online. Think of it like craigslist if you know what that is. Potential to make or lose money.
There is nothing on this site saying that members ++ is staff or trustworthy. Even then there are Mediators on d2jsp that I personally know have scammed so dont ever just "assume" somebody is legit. Sell/Buy in small amounts and if somebody has an issue with it they obviosly have a reason. |

This was already discussed. I think that people got too used to D2JSP, just to remind you:
M++ here is a different Usergroup than on D2. That's why it's affordable.
@UP: Most recent scam from a M++, it was clearly suspicious, he joined, bought M++ and scammed the next day:

Members ++ tag is a good thing for the site, it brings forum gold and it gives people something to ''aim'' for.
if you are recent joined and you see another person with a high postcount, he looks trusted too. but he has also the ability to scam so lets remove post counts as well.
why not remove reputations when we are on it anyways?
i hope this will stay like things are, people need to read before they start trading. |

It means a member that has done a little more than a normal member, either through donation or through repeated trading. in order to afford the 2.5k tag.
By no means are they more trust worthy, they just like to bling out their account.
So if we get rid of members ++ i suggest we get rid of signatures, name shadow and glow, titles, guilds, all of the profile customization, and turn the entire website greyscale.
it all shows trustworthiness and new members could be confused and scammed. |
