I don't know about you, but when I used to get high, I would be high until about noon the next day.
Moderation or not, if they get caught, then they go to jail.
I don't think being in jail is considered good parenting.

I know what happens when you're high.

im 17, been a parent since i was 12 and i have been someking weed sine i was 3, now i feel VERY OFFENDED, I DONT LIKE BEING CALLED A BAD PARENT, AND I DONT THINK TYRAEL, TRAMWAY AND HAPPYGUY LIKES BEING CALLED BAD PARENTS TOO

im 16 and havent smoked anything. i do drink so often with my family. ( my mom and my BFF's mom r really cool and are great friends and love 2 watch us get shit faced. )

your statement is invalid. Considering marijuana can actually increase your focus on your children. If you dare say people should drink and watch their kids then no offense prise, but your a bad parent. I am also glad you decided that alcohol was a better drug than marijuana considering alcohol is 100% more dangerous. The fact of the matter is your going to be a good parent or a bad parent. Also let me just add, its your stoneage mentality that is causing so many people to be unjustly persecuted. I agree with you in the fact that you should raise your kids away from the influence of any drug, be it alcohol or marijuana. But to claim because someone smokes marijuana they are a bad parent is down right disgraceful to yourself as a human being. It is a plant, its effects are cured by a muffin, it has never killed someone, it will never kill someone, there have been studies showing that responsible use of marijuana is beneficial to brain cell growth and stimulation.
All in all, i still love you but i think you need to do some research before making blind assumptions and accusations.
Also marijuana tolerance does exist, so if the parents have been smoking for any period of time then they are going to be used to the effects of the marijuana and be able to compensate for them. It happens no matter what, wether you want it to or not.
Also, there is a difference between use and abuse. marijuana usage is perfectly safe, perfectly tolerable, and will not affect you or your child in adverse ways. Abuse on the other hand will always be an issue no matter what it is.
Example:
Mother of a child abuses peanutbutter, eating 2 jars a day. that mother will eventually become too fat to care for her child. whereas if the mother has a peanutbutter sandwich once a day, she will be fine.

my credentials are professional smoker. a minimum of 20 times a day, most days. I sober out for any kind of piss tests or fun stuff like that, so its not as though i am mentally addicted. It makes me focus and takes away some stress and nerves. When i adopt ( i am not having a kid of my own, fuck that, i dont need a mini me) i plan on either quitting completely or never letting the child know until they are well into their teens. 16 at the earliest. They will not be allowed to smoke it until they are 18 just as with cigarettes (they wont be allowed to smoke cigarettes though lol) and if they decide to try it and like it i will buy them a vaporizer so they are not getting any harmful inhalants(plant matter). I will educate them on self control and self restraint.

Since he's been born, I've drunk one night. And made sure my b/f's mother would watch him all night.

I believe that you should not smoke when you have a child.
Hell your money should be going to clothes/food/housing/etc.
Most people neglect that to get high.
