the cannabis cup is more based on the cultivation not ingestment of marijuana. It is a competition where the top growers and genetic manipulators to convene to show off and have people judge their strain. Its really for the advancement of marijuana. through careful cross breeding new strains appear such as everyones favorite the skunk variety. not to mention the love of some peoples lives "grand daddy purp, purple haze, etc" although, any purple pot can be played off as purple haze, if the last 2 weeks of flowering you move your plants to a 50 degree room they will turn purple even if its not the purple haze strain. So 90% of those who claim they have smoked purple haze or some variation... they are normally wrong
