Even if they do charge surely there will be free private servers to play on. If for some reason there is ANY fee to play I will NOT play. Too many FREE games to play on my list anyway...

One of the reasons WoW has a monthly fee, is that it is so heavily moderated.
Sure it's nice to have a clean hack-free game, and I certainly hope D3 will be clean aswell, but I don't think it will be as moderated as WoW, and therefore I doubt there will be a monthly fee.

they shouldn't scene they already make alot of money off of wow but then again they may want another cash cow.... but personal i would never pay to play on top of having to pay for the game cds

Most likely you won't have to pay on a monthly bases. But like sc2, they will probably have multiple expansion pack that we would have to buy to keep up with the updates.
Even if they do charge on monthly bases, i would still play. I want to try it and give it a shot. If it's worth the money, i'm gonna keep playing.
Just look at WOW, world's most popular paying game. U guys might not like it, but tell it to the millions who play.
D3 will most likely be a success whether with u or without u.

We all know D2 is a legendary OnlineRPG game. 12+ years and ppl still playing. Lot of MMORPG followed and looked up to D2 when making their games, like 2Moon. Before the release, when they were picking people for closed beta, they had a questionnaires relating to Diablo 2. If i remember correctly, they asked if you had played D2 and how was your experience. What you liked about it and what u didnt.

Personally, I love how the dueling is set up on D2. I wouldn't say its perfectly balanced, but its balanced enough to have pure competition. No 1 char build is GOD. There are atleast 2-3 kinds of build for each chars. Thats 7x3 = 21+++++++ builds that can PVP competitively.

D2 PVM is nonexistant. Hardcore can be fun, but once u die, u want to slit ur wrist.
D3 will have Epic PVM and hopefully the PVP will mount up to D2 standards.
