goal of the game is to break the target new Zealand sets (399-430 runs) in the 20 overs you're allowed (over = 6 balls by one pitcher, every over pitchers/bowlers alternate). A hat-trick is when the fielding team takes 3 wickets in a row (wicket is an out) |

alright. i learned how to hit it. but i don't understand how to read the score point or anything. i think im doing good, hitting the balls and stuff. not letting them hit the sticks. then it says, YOU LOSE. teach how to read so can know if worth playing finish game or restart game.

the goal is to chase (score) the amount of runs that New Zealand has already made. They put up a score and it is your job to make all those runs. The score they set is told to you when you start the game, usually around 400 odd. You have 20 overs (one over is equal to 6 balls, so you have a total of 120 balls) to score that amount of runs. it tells you your current run rate (in runs per over) and the required run rate (also in runs per over) needed to win. if you have any questions or need clarification let me know! |

so the score initially reads
0/0
meaning you have 0 runs and 0 people are out. the first number is the amount of runs you have scored so far and the number after the slash is how many batsman are out. you are out if you get bowled (ball hits the 3 sticks), if you give a catch, or if the ball hits the pads and the umpire thinks it was going to hit the sticks. you have a maximum of 10 outs, once you get 10 you're whole team is out and you're done batting. |

in real life you don't score like 20 runs an over for 20 overs straight lol. if you're lucky you'll get 1 20 run over per innings x_X. an average 20 over score is like 150 runs |
