gradient maps maybe, atleast i heard alot people saying it ruines the quality
but i often got the problem too when using normal stocks and i dont know from where it comes exactly^^

I might not use good enough quality images to start with.

It's so hard for me to find a picture that I want to work with. :/

And I rarely play with my stock photo.
