This would have been the case if Franzen was 100% and Zetterberg was playing but I think they'll still win the west.
I hope they do. That's my team. <3
Second favorite is Vancouver. If Detroit fails, Canucks shall win! _____________________

I think the Canucks are overrated
We'll just have to wait and see how they play against Nashville.
However, Luongo played a solid game in goal last night. Should be a good series. |

How can the #1 ranked team be overrated..?
Do you know something I don't know? _____________________

They're not a dominant team. If they played the Red Wings, you'd see how overrated they are.
And the regular season means nothing

They're a dominant team IF the Sedins are rolling. Without them, they are merely good. Great, if Luongo is his usual self.
Regular season means plenty... Notice how rare it is for 6-7-8th seeded teams in the playoffs to progress to the next round? Must mean something
Also, if a series goes to game 7, they play at home for the higher seed. I think that counts for plenty. _____________________

Playing at home isn't always a good thing. Plenty of teams fail at winning at home, most win on the road. A lot more pressure is felt at home, if you let the fans down, the whole city is in shame.
I agree, if the Sedins aren't rolling, Vancouver is a lot weaker than usual. If Luongo plays like he did the other night, they do have a good chance winning the Cup.
I just don't see it, I could be wrong. It's not really rare at all for the 6-8th seeds to progress, they're playing out of mere adrenaline, while the higher seeds are playing for reputation and expectation.
Flyers vs. Wings
Calling it. |

More teams win at home then they do on the road.. It's kind of a stat..
I think if you looked at all the match ups since the lockout, you'll find it uncommon for lower seeds to be progressing to later rounds. There's always the underdog stories like last year Montreal ripping it up and then losing later on, but that's rare.
In my posts here I posted the teams I personally want to move on. Not who I think will win.
I still think Detroit will make it to the west finals vs the Canucks and either win in a gritty battle or get buttfucked if the Sedins can bring it for at least 3 games out of the first 5. _____________________

Stats are stats, correct. I go by what I like to see
It'll be a good showdown regardless on who wins.
Very good conversation, glad to see a fellow hockey fan |

Yeah, Lightning beating Washington right now...
Today is a good day for playoff hockey.
Detroit has been my team since I've been like 3, and Canucks since obviously Canadian and the fact that their farm team the Moose are my cities team.
I really really really really hope the Phoenix sale falls through and we get our Jets back, or if Phoenix keeps their team, we get the Thrashers. I'd rather have Phoenix since Shane Doan but.. beggars can't be choosers. _____________________

I think the sale will fall through, but we'll just have to wait and see.
I'm glad the Lightning won, I love the way Stamkos and St. Louis play, just great talent. However, Ovechkin and Semin are a dangerous combo themselves.
Detroit is up 1-0 right now |

Flyers impressed the World today, losing 7-3 to the Bruins
Boucher played like shit, the defense played like shit...all-in-all everyone played like shit.
Hoping game 2 will be a lot better |
