He should be posted on all the billboards and papers thrown in the ghetto as a true idol instead of people who admit they kill people and extort others for financial benefit. I do know there are some intellectual and very thought out rappers who put soul and effort into their rhymes and music. The select few I'll give credit to. 80% of rappers spurt the same repetitive vomit. Shit sucks.

Sometimes, the whole gangster deal get stupid, but then it's just kinda funny. other than that, there's so much awesome rap out there, with sweet beats, amazing rhymes, incredible voices and so on. most of it without 'real' instruments. You seem to be getting off subject, the topic is rap and skill/music and skill not any other skill I understand surfing doesn't require education but the more you educate yourself on it the betetr it will be. I'd bet anything, the more education you have in music/life the better your music will be. More skillful, unique timings, just overall structure to your songs. Then again we're comparing rap to every other sound out there that takes instruments. Rhyming is the only skill 80% of rappers have, I don't really consider that a skill.

Yeah, the same reason I don't listen to the radio.
I don't enjoy ghost writing and it should be banned from all music.
The only thing you really hear or what everyones into is the gangster rap shit.
You can synth anything into having a sweet voice, you sit down for 2 hours and lay down a sweet beat and sit for 4 days and think of an amazing rhyme. It's quick, easy, and lazy.

The people behind it should be getting more credit then, and should be acknowledged. How many people do you think that listen to Lil Wayne actually know the names of the beat makers or whoever? How much credit do they get, a name in the cd pamphlet? If you can't write your own music as a complete whole. You shouldn't be writing music in my opinion. I'm not saying the world should be full of the tried and true musicians. I don't listen to all super skillful music but I do listen to music that the band sits in a garage or an egg cartoned room for days on end just perfecting the minor details of the song because they care about quality. Rap artists usually pump out what? One to tow albums a year? Why? Quick and easy more albums = more money. I hate to compare rap to a band like Tool (I liek Tool but not as much as others just a good example). Lil Wayne releases an album every 1 year. Tool releases an album every 4 years. I'll explain why and it's simple, they care about what they do and they love doing what they do and don't care so much about FAT STACKS. Their music is difficult and unique nothing sounds liek them and even performing a cover of any of their songs is very difficult. I could listen to a little wayne song and memorize the words and kinda plug my nose and I wouldn't be too far off.

I won't say much (maybe), but I will say this: It is up to you to give the credit to the producers, since the rest of the world seems to be neglecting it. You see? The guy who produced the Lil Wayne single "6 foot, 7 foot" (no matter how much one hates lil wayne, that song is hilaridope) has produced a shitload of rap artists including ludacris, busta rhymes and young gunz. That guy is probably rich as fuck - and I don't think he minds.
And no matter how you spin it, all your beloved artists all have had a producer who would give advice and help you shape your project in the right direction - and they aren't all Rick "try it in a different key" Rubin.
How about Beck's Modern Guilt record. That record is AMAZING. Then you look through the cover - hey, it's produced by Danger Mouse - no wonder this record is so fucking awesome. U2 also have shifting styled between Brian Eno and Daniel Lanois producing. And is it a bad thing? I THINK NOT. kk.
I realize you're probably talking more about someone who writes the lyrics as well, but I think this happens more in the pop genre that your beloved Kle is taking part of (as per what she said, obv). I'm pretty sure rap dudes usually have some sort of thing they wanna say. Let that be "DROP IT LIKES IT HOT" or "KILL HIM WHEN IT'S HOT" idc.
