Please don't compare Lil Wayne to actual rap.

Whoever was posting The Roots, you win. They all play their own instruments, talk about political things/love/shit other than getting 24" rims.

Quest Love = a beast and I have his shoes. ;D

Nobody actually compared those two.

Skimmed through earlier, saw his name, figured people were talking about how he's a good rapper when really he's just garbage from like.. 2004 and up.

I was actually saying that, while he has nothing to do with amazing rap - I find him extremely entertaining. That and, well, his hits aren't hits for nothing. His stuff is super well produced - whether you like it or not is a complete different matter. That's what I think.
Roots > any day. Tribe > any day. most 80ies/90ies rap >>>>. Yet Lil Wayne still works. You see where I'm getting at? That and he's got a cool "I don't give a fuck" attitude.

The whole "I'm the best rapper alive" thing he has goin on brings him down in my eyes. To say that is just ignorant.
And his voice is stratchy as hell.

Rap is our nations way of saying sorry for the past, have something you can do that requires no skill and collect money.

P.S. Sorry again for those days in the fields.

implying that there is no such thing as foreign rap, and that only black people rap in the US.
also implying that rap takes no skill.

You're saying writing down rhymes on a piece of paper is skill?
Also you are saying it takes "skill" to make beats and put the rhymes into it.
I have fruity loops let me know, I could put something together for you about my day yesterday.

and make it listenable/enjoyable? LOL I highly doubt it. Please do try... I'll pay you $$ if it turns out to be good, lmk. not everyone could just pick up fl and make a GOOD beat. A shitty one, probably. You just told me you weren't closed minded I thought? maybe I misunderstood you... Rap takes a lot more skill than you think -- to be "good" at it. Anyone could pick up a guitar too. Anyone can sing. Lmk...Lol
