http://www.leanbulk.com/forum/lg-sciences/3356-bodybuilding-secrets-how-bulk-cut-same-time.html
personally, i did a low calorie high protein diet consisting of mainly chicken and white meats. i supplemented that with a high amount of vegetables and mid level carbs. i mixed that with working out 3 times a day, with simplistic exercises. just some reps you can do with the dumbbells, like butterflies and lunges and curls and such. mix that with 3 sets of 50 for each workout of extended reverse crunches (legs out, lift your legs all the way until your shoulder bones are on the ground only. followed by 3 sets of 50 triangle pushups (create a triangle using your forefinger and thumb of each hand directly in front of you)
anytime i actually went to the gym for bulking, i would drink a protein shake ( walmart has these awesome mocha ones that are all natural and high in protein and actually taste good) before and after the exercise. Now, me and my friend argue about this detail. your after workout shower should start hot and right before you get out, switch the hot off for a cold blast (my point of view)... his point of view is to start cold and then ease into a hot shower.
Either way, just load up on good protein and stay away from the sugars and such.
P.S. lost 130 lbs (still working on the toning aspect, loose skin is a bitch) and im relatively tight everywhere except my pectoral area (i cant seem to get them to tighten)
give me a sec and ill post a pic
ignore the messy house lol. it was a long weekend. buuut, this is me 1 year from starting at 298 lbs.. im down to 180 now

iso pic without shirt!
and how long have you been training?
I dont got enough money for a gym card at the moment but when I get I will defenatly get a gym card
the hardest part with this method is to combine the right food, and the correct amount of food as I train soccer, muay thai and im jogging 3 times/week so I really have to eat alot |

um. as i mentioned the issue with loose skin lol. but if you really really want it i suppose. hard to really see any toning unless you actually touch it lmao
and less than a year really. ive only been working out on a regular basis for like 5ish months now.
you can always just skip the gym card and go to like a walmart or whatever chain store and buy a set of like 25-30 lb dumbbells or just one and do reps that way. _____________________

for your body to perform the base functions it requires 1400 calories a day. for a normal day of hard work your body requires 2000 to 2500... so with a high activity lifestyle you should shoot for 3000-3500. but make it mainly protein if possible. like carbs are your key energy source but they will be used up instead of proteins, when the proteins are what you want your body to use for the muscle buildup _____________________
