you get a new name like page instead of farmboy
then you get 1 dragon point that lets you add 1 stat to etehr attack defense hp that or get a extra turn each day that will stay forever |

| There are also certain secret things that happen. For example, after killing the dragon once, you will have access to purchase a pegasus, which is the best creature to have. Also, your squire can be trained into a knight and warlord. Your character also becomes stronger, but the forest monsters become stronger as well. |

the monsters dont get stronger 
if is nice tho u accumulate more life with the +1's perm and such and then they add up after a while. its well worth it if u have time to climb the levels again.
and i suggest when u kill the dragon, just do constant slumming as u go from 1-15 again. less healing and more money, but just a bit slower on the exp. and helps alot if u farm some gold before u kill the dragon and make it fg, then turn it back into gold after u kill the dragon, its just a small head start

How tough is the dragon? I'm level 13 and I got 13k in extra gold, flawlessing the level 12s so I don't have to spend gold in healing.
I'm not sure how prepared I should make myself.
Every single item gets taken away and all gold?
What happens if you lose to the dragon? You just die like normal? So I can die a couple times trying to see how strong he is and just resurrect? |

Well when you lvl 15 you can fight the green dragon , catch is you got to hunt for him . He may not alway be in the same town , sometime you trip over a stick just looking for him in cave & lose hp and sometime you find extra golds. All ur item do get taken away , so I just save up to like 400k logd gold then turn into fg which with this sucky ass ratio be 224fg or close around that range. The miscellenous is the only item you don't lose along with the gems , you horse & you marriage if you been marriage yet. It a good enough head start when you can get the extra turn items. I get like 8 extra turn + a pegasus which gratn 4+ turn so if Im in very high mood I get 35 turn each game. If you lose to the dragon you dont lose all you gear you just go to the underworld. My best advice is grind until you skill lvl is like 21-23 so you can kill the dragon with you spell & don't even have to use any gears. There alway this hags you run into that ask for a gem & grant you skill lvl even after you lvl 15 you still can lvl up you skill.

i have always done him at lvl 15 without any probs, just make sure u are at full health and try to rid yourself of the kinda of stuff like runes/gems/hides/gamegold etc since they may or may not carry over to your next char

Only thing that carry over is gems , misc. item & you hireling along with ur horse. The rest you lose.

how/where do you use runes
and do whatever runes give you carry over? permanent?
i just got like more 5 runes about 10 mins ago

Jezzebelle shop in d3jsp , there is many difference combination of runeword you can do. For all 4 to combine you make ultima which add str , for like pul/ jah it make fortitude which add hps.
el sol make defense which ofc add defense.
There a few other I just cant think of them atm kinda let. No the runes are not perm.
