That is the beauty of the World Cup. It doesn't matter how rich or big your country is, what does matter is can you put together a team that can play together and win. USA population: ~309 million--> one 3rd place finish; Uruguay population:~3 million--> two 1st place and two 4th place finishes |

| Going into the tournament, Germany was the second youngest team. The inexperience worried me, but it seems Germany proved me completely wrong destroying top teams like England and Argentina. Without a doubt Germany has had the toughest road to the finals, yet they are making it look too easy. Congratulations to Germany on their play, they are by far the most impressive team in the World Cup. |
