I see it from your point, broseph, but too many subforums limits the use of each subforum. We'd have to have a subforum for betting AND one for poker. The betting one would be empty, not useless, but empty.

you could just change betting to "Sports Betting" and then make the "Poker Forum"
i think that would increase activity in both arenas. if you're at your limit that's another story though, but i know there are forums which are being used a lot less than these that could possibly be removed |

Nah, the option would be to not have a betting subforum and have a poker subforum isntead.

well with the option you provided i would have no choice but to say the betting forum should not be renamed the poker forum but why is that the only option?
why not have a sports "forum" and have a poker forum as a sub forum of that?
if i was in charge i'd do that because it makes the most logical sense. you have sports talk in all the random sections (real life, betting, general chat) it would give a concentrated area to talk about that. |

well sports doesn't have it's own "forum" it's just a subforum of gc or real life i don't remember. if it was given it's own forum then it would no doubt generate more activity than it does just as a subforum of real life (a forum that shouldn't exist in the first place imo)
then if that sports "forum" was created poker and sports betting could be subforums of that sports "forum". i think that would generate more interest in a variety of areas as well as eliminate areas of little/no interest. the issues talked about in "real life" can easily just be general chat. |
