does any1 knows a good item build for anti-mage

im also trying to get good w/ anti mage in dota, and the only build ive seen that is decent is cranium basher cranium basher >< any sugestions would be apreciated

Usually what i start is i build a vanguard with agility power threads, then vladimirs offering and after that farm out 2x bashers+butterfly.. Its a fairly good strategy, as you'll be able to pwn 1v1 practically anyone... The vanguard gives you the extra hp you need so you don't die as oftne, plus it gives nice hp reg so you can farm in your lane for longer..

My suggestions would be close to megas with a couple changes:

Strength power treads, vladimirs, butterfly, battlefury, hood if there are a lot of casters, heart, a 2nd butterfly even.

I see many people go bashers and it just isnt worth it in my eyes. The hero has a blink ability so you cant really out run the hero. If he has fast attack speed they wont live too long and you wont even need bash. Getting a second butterfly is 20x's better then getting a basher. Just think about it. Butterfly has +30 dmg +30 agi +30 increased attack speed +30% evasion. Another item to get instead of double butterflys would be an mkb, also known as the Monkey King Bar. This item is very strong but costs a pretty penny.

yeah you are right, if you can get in a lot of hits you dont actually need the bashers, maginas atttack speed is amazing, and you could easily pawn with lets say 2x butters and a hyper smile

Also instead of getting the battlefury I would suggest replacing it with a assault curiass.

So far i agree with macho but there is another build i have done but if you do it if u start messing up or getting ganged to much there is a chance the build will backfire on you. This starting build is ment to get early quick kills start with getting str treads and 5x wrath bands...this gives u mass hp mass attackspeed mass dmg (for low lvl that is) once u start mass 1v1 killing low lvl you just replace the bands with bfly (or basher) and go on from there. This build i have never seen anyone use but i almost always use it to be different and it always has worked for me.

According to bankjan on the offical forums... here's what your build should be

1. agi treads
2. 3x wraith bands
3. life item (vanguard or mek or vlads or hood)
4. damage item (mkb or butterfly)
5. Secondary item (2x basher if you went mkb, mkb if you went butterfly)
6. Vlads if you didn't get it before
7. Luxury items to boost 1. hp (heart) or 2. dps (buriza, second bfly)

Random items:
counters mass nukers-bkb
counters gay nukers (lina)-linkens
3x crix (theoritcally a high dps item, but not cool)
hyperstone (more manaburn)

just keep in mind that am has base attack spd of 1.35, so for each +ias he gets, its like getting ~125% of what your normal gains are
