Probably, like cold war, in space, btween the east and the west.. I dunno, I probably won't live to tell anyway..

But if water exists, it's good, I mean, just too bad mars is empty..

Mars poles are made of ice I believe. But thats not saying much, one of Jupiters moons are nothing but ice and a water core, but the conditions are too extreme to survive in. (Not sur if it's Jupiter or another planet)

Jupiter is too far from the sun.
Mars isn't that far away.

jupiter's moon could sustain life... since they have high temperatures cause by jupiter's gravational pull...
anyways... our generation probably wont live to see it happen...

There could be life underneath the surface of mars.. >.> Throwin that out there
Mars could have been already habited and things just died off or what not.. It would be cool though if it was habitable

does not matter if there is ice or not. A mission to mars is a death wish. The amount of cosmic rays that the astronaut would experience on the trip there, coupled with the lack of force on his bones would mean that he would not be able to walk, and would die of radiation sickness before he could return.

That's very good! If we try to colonise Mars in 2100, we will be able to cause global warming and fusing Ice will constitute the atmospheare smile Then, we will need to plant some moss and introduce some soil evolution bacteries/insects. I believe we will be able to live on Mars in ~500years. It's so close to Earth, so it must be similiar to our planet and be compatibile for humanoids!
