can anyone help with crafting formula?

i don't understand it at all.
i need a certain ilvl, and clvl to make level 18 gloves.
but i have no idea what it is.
i'm trying to make level 18 hitpower gloves,
i even posted on d2jsp and got little help. :/

for the recipe i have to use:
1 magical chain gloves
1 p sapphire
1 ort rune
1 jewel (any)

and for chain gloves, someone said that ilvl 12 would be too high, which is what andy drops.
and i haven't been able to even find any where else, except a2.
but, even if those are lower ilvl, i still don't know which ilvl i need, or which clvl i need to make what i want..

does anyone understand this better?

i checked.
but some calculation wiz on d2jsp helped me and said that it would be almost impossible to keep these crafted gloves under level 18.
dry

so i've gotta hope to get some rares under 18 with knockback i guess.

Check atma for rare glove drops in normal, that should help you find what to kill.

I think it's like, the iLvl of your character + xx or something, there was a site that told me what to do, but I can't remember it

gamble the gloves with a clvl 12
the ilvl will be +/- 5 then, so ilvl 7 to ilvl 18

take a char with lvl 18 for craft, this should be work

check the pre/sufixes witch can spawn on this lvl so u can be sure what is possible and whats not

e: and kb cant be spawned on rare gloves

the dude that help me before said that if the [clvl / 2] + [ilvl / 2] < 13 then i have like a 50/50 chance
