Programme Info

Magnificent national parks in Australia, New Zealand and America are featured in a special week of programming. Premiering on Monday is the episode about Kakadu National Park, the gateway to Arnhem Land. World heritage listed, it covers almost 20,000 square kilometres and is renowned for its diverse environment: from a towering escarpment featuring Aboriginal art to the floodplains of the South Alligator River with its amazing array of birds and wildlife. Other episodes during the week visit New Zealand (which has 14 national parks and a third of the country protected in parks and reserves), the state of Alaska's national parks and the renowned parks of Yosemite in California and Yellowstone in Wyoming.
