Travel -> Port Royal -> Scarlett's Relaxation Respite (Pick the first person, costs 2 gems)
Travel -> Gorfindal -> Heidi's Place (Burn Candles, lose a PVP fight for each one you burn for 4-6 turns, can't do this if you're an elf)
The random event where the lady asks for 30 gems for her earring can get you 25 turns sometimes.
The random event with the fairy in the forest will give you one turn for a gem sometimes.
Other way, you can die in the abandoned castle and try to revive yourself, this way you don't lose any exp.

drink water from the misterious well in the forest event

Yeah. It just seems when I need more I dont get more. Or lose them walking around.
