bleach? is it ongoing what is it about what powers etc main character

I only watch the anime and it's still ongoing. I think they are still making new chapters in the manga aswell.
306 anime episodes has been aired so far.

It's about a boy in Japan who gets powers of a shinigami (soul reaper) and fights monsters (hollows) that eat souls.
There's alot of other soul reapers in the serie too and they all fight with zanpakutos (a sword). The zanpakuto all have
different types of powers. Most soul reapers rely alot on their zanpakutos powers, but they also have powers themselves.
They can move really fast, heal, bind people, shoot fire and stuff like that.

The first few episodes in Bleach are kinda booring, but after a few episodes it gets alot better.

Naruto is better than Bleach FYI, but both have moments where they simply exceed one another.

My advice would be to skip the filler arcs (there are lots) and blaze through the anime, great series and I guarantee you'll enjoy!
