Had a friend signing up here (JA@d3jsp) and I decided to make a little test.
I told him to write any random hotmail address in the field where you put your email. He did, and he could still register without the email ever being created.
My question is, why is the email-box there if you're not getting a email verification when registered? What happens if you forget the email since there's no verification that the email is attached to a account?
seems to me that having a email to d3jsp is useless

It's probably used if you want to change your password, most likely a verification email will be sent to your registered email.
I think new members should have to verify there accounts through e-mail. Not really that time consuming...
and not really necessary either..
Account validation would make it so much harder for users to make multiple accounts and the honest users will not mind verifying their emails. _____________________

It takes a few minutes to make an email, that isn't a determent if someone is making multiple accounts..
