have a thread for scammers to trade in? whats to keep new scammers from comming into the "safe" trading forum, and scammers trading scammers? sounds legit, think it would cause problems, but thats just me, no for me sorry.

but to the being not allowed part, they are tagged, so that pretty mcuh dampers their attempts at any trade because other users will just ignore what ever they offer or post.

Yea i hear ya

i figured if the REGULAR trade forum didnt let scammer/locked post that it would be alot easier for the safe people to trade

And if there was some sort of "SCAMMER FORUM" the scammers with no shame could still go there and trade each other smile lol!

well now i can see if the locked / scammer tag, like restricted you from entering the selling / tradeing forum, but that might lead to more people making multi accounts.

I got like 500 multi's here cuh, get on my level.

But seriously, just don't trade with newfags and there won't be scams. I've said it time and time again, yet nobody wants to listen.

Common sense kiddies.

Well there are tons of scammers on this site, that includes old members as well. Avoid new users won't protect you, even if it reduces the risk.

Right now scammer/locked people keep trading even with the tag as people are stupid. Disable their ability to post/msg would reduce the scamming...and perhaps make some of them repay when they feel they need to do some trading here again.

Not to mention if scammer tagged/locked users weren't allowed to post in s/y, that'd give them an incentive to repay. Too bad staff here think with their dicks.

Robert is right about 50% of the Staff members have down syndrome.

You do realize, SwedishGuy, that no matter if you ban scammers/locked users from using the S/T, they can make multi's and proxy the shit out of their IP, right?

You'll never stop scammers from scamming.

but if you dont force them to try and look for different ways

how will we ever stop them?

im sure a account made yesterday with 0 posts and 0 rep trying to sell 50k fg and asking u for up front will look like an obvious multi.

if locked/scammers couldnt post in trade forums, yeah you would see new multis and yeah we would be able to know more smile

also should make it so you have to have 25 posts to post in trade forums too, we can see where they get there 25 posts

again, this was just an idea, in the interest of safety on the forums smile

suggestions always help, maybe we can change this ot a better place!!

We've tried to prevent scamming. You can get 25 posts too easy and it's incredibly easy to make a multi and hide it.

All I know is that it won't stop.

Well take Mckeone as a good example. We discussed the deal over multiple days. He scams me and go inactive for a few months.
Then he suddenly comes on to buy d2keys and sell some game. He claims he was keylogged.

Now, judging his language and behaviour when he scammed me I am 100% confident he wasn't keylogged. But people see his many reps, old accs and still trade with him.
It's completely retarded. Ban them from posting in all sections but the S/A one.

hey bro i hear what youre saying.

its like stopping drug use in america, its not going to happen, but if u allow it its going to get worse..

so youre telling me youd rather have locked/scammer users in trade forums actively buying selling and scamming people instead of forcing them to make a new account, have 0 rep, have 0 posts?

it makes no sense......... i thought the simple common sense logistic would be make it HARDER for a scammer to trade here, not easier.... but i guess thats why this site isnt at full potential

people scam, and other people dont care that they scam

several measurews could have been (and still can) be employed to reduce scamming :

a) disallow locked/scammer tagged users from trading in st
b) disallow using proxies

etc etc

nothing gets ever done so might as well create a mu lti and scam away lulz
